Following all of our exciting work over the last 12 months, winning campaigns against rip off letting agencies, and dodgy landlords, Living Rent is excited to announce our Second National Conference to help us plan our future victories!
The Conference will take place on Saturday 20th January, 1pm until 5pm, at the Augustine United Church, 41 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh.
All welcome! (Only full tenant members will be able to vote*)
We will be planning our essential national campaigns including:
- Getting rent control areas implemented across Scotland,
- Preventing unjust evictions in winter months.
- Tackling the growing AirBNB problem
- Supporting one another with Member Defence teams
We welcome all of our supporters to attend and participate in the workshops and discussions. Full tenant members are able to vote on the priorities for the coming year, and will be able to elect representatives to the National Committee. *Full members are tenants who pay £3 or more per month. If you haven’t joined yet, you can online at http://www.livingrent.org/join/ There will also be plenty of opportunities to join on the day. Only full members can vote, but if you are a supporter who does not yet pay subscriptions, or a home-owner who pays subscriptions but can not vote, you will still be able to join in and take part, but not vote.
