Come and learn how to film videos and create a Voxpop with other members in Edinburgh.

From 1 April, the Scottish government got rid of the emergency protections that ensure that rent increases are kept to at least 12%. Landlords are now able to increase rent as much as they like, and the government will use 'open-market rent' to determine if it is affordable or not. 

We are going to be interviewing tenants and members of the public around Edinburgh to see if they think that that is fair and ask them what they think the Scottish government should do. 

Everyone welcome - no prior experience or equipment required - we will be filming on our phones. 

We will first spend 30 minutes talking through how to interview, how to film and talk through our questions and our structure. Then we will spend an hour and a half working in pairs interviewing people.
