HOLEY HELL! Govan Residents Demand Safe Pavements!
All of Govan's pedestrians deserve safe pavements but it is particularly serious for those who use wheelchairs, walking frames, crutches, pushchairs and/or have visual impairments. We demand safe, well maintained footpaths to allow everyone to move around our community freely and safely.
A particular dangerous example in the area is a huge sinkhole in the pavement outside Portal Arts on Govan Road. Members of Living Rent Govan & Ibrox have launched a campaign to demand That George Gillespie, Executive Director of Glasgow City Council Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainablity, address this issue and repair the sinkhole.
On Saturday, 18th November at 12pm Living rent members will be having a fun day of Action outside Portal Arts on Govan Road to highlights this issue and show Glasgow City Council that this community demands better!
It will be a "Hole" lot of fun! So bring your kids, friends and neighbours along for some family friendly activities with prizes to be won!
Block by block, street by street, we are building community power!
