  • Living Rent Housing Bloc and COP26 March in Glasgow

Join the housing bloc at COP26 to say that HOUSING JUSTICE IS CLIMATE JUSTICE.

    • What: The Living Rent Housing Bloc at COP 26 to stress the importance of environmentally-conscious homes.
    • When: Saturday 6 November, 12pm.
    • Where: Kelvingrove Park (meeting point tbc).

For two weeks in November, world leaders are meeting in Glasgow for the COP26 Global Climate summit. The decisions made at COP26 will have a huge impact on all our futures, as our politicians decide how they will respond to the climate crisis.

At such a pivotal time, it is crucial that we make ourselves heard. Climate change is one of the biggest crises the world has ever faced. In Scotland, 16% of emissions are linked to domestic heating and energy bills. We urgently need to improve housing and the quality of our dwellings to bring about greater climate justice.

Be a part of our housing bloc at COP26 to demand housing justice for climate justice. Join Living Rent’s housing bloc in Glasgow at 12pm in Kelvingrove Park before we march down to Glasgow Green.

For any information please email [email protected]

Please bring PLACARDS, and WEAR GREEN.

Come to this session to examine the different layers of Scottish politics, understand who decides what and work together with practical examples to know at which layer of government and how to put forward your demands. This is especially important as the council elections are just around the corner and the government is suggesting ambitious reforms to the rented sector!
