Glasgow City Council will make £17m a year from their new tourist tax which they plan to invest in marketing, reimbursing short term let landlords, and a shinier car park for the SEC. Instead, we want them to spend it in ways that make a difference in our communities - at the recent campaign strategy day it was decided that public buses was a viable demand that could make real improvements to our members lives.
Govanhill, Shawlands and Partick branches are working on this city campaign - any members from these branches are welcome.
