Join fellow Living Rent Dennistoun members to celebrate the branch’s achievements over the last year, plan future campaigns and elect your branch committee officers.

Last year, the Dennistoun branch was launched and sprung into action fighting for repairs and compensation for Dennistoun tenants. We got trained up in member defence techniques and processes and using collective action, we won thousands of pounds in compensation and withheld rent and secured new tenancies for tenants threatened with eviction.

Then in January, members voted to take on a new campaign- Reopen Wellpark Community Hall! Months of relentless community action to push for Wheatley Homes to reopen the closed community hall- two bingo and mock referendum actions outside the Hall and a letter-drop to Wheatley Homes fancy offices- has won concessions but the fight is not yet won.

This year has also seen an impressive growth in numbers, we've more than doubled since last year all thanks to the fortnightly outreach sessions that members have run.
