Join us for an open meeting organised by Dennistoun Living Rent, to get answers on what Glasgow City Council's 2026-27 budget means for Dennistoun!
This meeting is a chance for residents to ask questions of our Ward councillors regarding the impact of the 2026-27 budget on our neighbourhood. All ward councillors have been invited, we look forward to their positive response!
The Glasgow City Council budget includes decisions that could affect everyday life in the area. The council has agreed a 5.9% rise in council tax for 2026/27. Whitehill Pool’s revenue budget has also been temporarily redirected while work continues on a business case for reopening the pool. The budget also includes funding to develop rent control areas, increasing council tax on empty and second homes, and on the freezing of parking charge. What will these decisions mean for Dennistoun?
Now is the time to speak up about what you want to see happen in the neighbourhood. If you have any questions or would like more information, just get in touch.
All Dennistoun residents welcome. Please get in touch via the details below if you have accessibility or childcare needs - both can be organised.
