Join our action to put pressure on Dundee City Council to commit to rent controls!

Rent in Dundee is out of control. Half of households in Dundee can’t afford to rent privately, whilst landlords are making huge profits and calling Dundee ‘Scotland’s new buy-to-let capital’.

Landlords are hitting tenants with unaffordable rents, pushing us out of our homes because there is nothing stopping them. We need to change that.

Over the last decade, members of Living Rent have successfully pushed the Scottish Government to introduce rent controls. But it will be up to councils to pass rent control areas when the new Housing Bill comes into law.

So right now, we are calling on Dundee City Council to commit to rent controls.

We need them to commit to implementing strong, effective rent controls that bring down rents to ensure that Dundee residents can live in safe, secure, affordable housing.
