Everyone welcome! If you are a new member we'd love to see you! Our monthly branch meetings are a great place to start in getting more involved in the union.
We’ll be updating the branch about our national campaigns relating to the coronavirus epidemic.
- Suspension of rent/cancellation of rent arrears/better protections for tenants from evictions.
- Hygiene campaign
We'll discuss our national day of action on 9 July and what went well.
Similarly, we'll discuss the launch of the petition to demand of the Scottish government protections for renters now and after the virus (sign it here: https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/protect-renters-now-and-after-the-virus) and actions we can take to spread this further.
As well as further develop our newly formed local branches.
Finally, we'll also highlight the work our member defense team has been doing over the past few months and how to get stuck in.
