Living Rent Edinburgh welcomes all to their annual Christmas Ceilidh, this year being held in St. Columba’s by the Castle. Not only will the halls be decked, but they will once again thump and jingle to the tunes of The Pied Piper Ceilidh Band, Edinburgh's first all trans fashion forward ceilidh band.
Those interested will also be able to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win one of a wide range prizes donated by supportive Edinburgh businesses. Raffle tickets will be £2 each.
Half the event profits will go to The Popular Struggle Coordination Committee (PSCC) in the West Bank, which engages in non-partisan community resistance to Israeli occupation, including peaceful protection for farmers during harvest season to protect them from settler violence (popular-struggle.org).
The other half of the event profits will be distributed among the Living Rent branches that contributed to making this event a success.
Living Rent is Scotland’s tenants and community union through which members fight to improve and uphold their housing rights and push back against everything from exploitative business practices to unfair evictions.
