Take Action: Save Marionville Fire Station Consultation Day

Marionville Fire Station is at risk of closure. This means job losses and presents a huge risk to public health and life, with increased response times. The recent fires at Arthur Seat, Loganlea Terrace and Hawkhill Court shows just how necessary this service is. It will also have a knock on effect as it will add pressure to other stations.

The Fire Service bosses are ignoring local staff and politicians. Public cuts kill and this short sighted plan means we lose a vital resource in our community. We won’t allow this to happen.

On Tuesday 2nd September 2025, the Fire Service is running a public consultation and we are going to show our strength both inside and outside to say loud and clear: Marionville Fire Station will not be permanently shut down.

Outside: Community Show of Support
Join us at 5pm in the green on Craigentinny Community Centre. Bring your family, friends and placards.

Inside: Take part in the consultation
We need to make sure our voices are heard. There are two consultation sessions at 2-4pm or 6-8pm
sign up to attend by emailing [email protected] with your name and postcode and the session you would like to attend!

We are standing in solidarity with the FBU to save their jobs, and fighting to protect an essential service!
