This year’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 18th July on zoom and all Living Rent members and supporters from across Scotland are encouraged to come along. On that day, the Annual report (including membership growth & financial account) will be presented and the new National Committee (the governing body of the organisation) will be elected.
Come along to this meeting gathering all Living Rent members and supporters from Glasgow to nominate candidates to this year's NC. In this meeting, potential candidates will introduce themselves to the membership, and those attending the meeting will have the chance to ask questions and discuss their answers with other members, followed by a vote. This is really important, as members cannot stand for the National Committee at the AGM unless they have been endorsed by their city branches.
If you would like to stand for election, please click here to read more about the roles and fill in this candidate statement template Download and complete the form and return to [email protected] no later than midnight on Sunday 21 June. Being on the NC is an important commitment and an exciting one: speak to Living Rent’s National Organiser Emma if you want to hear more about it: [email protected]
We encourage members in the same household to register separately and attend the meeting on separate devices, as this will make the voting procedure easier. The agenda and a short biography for each of the Glasgow candidates will be circulated closer to the meeting. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please get in touch with our National Organiser Emma as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing you at the city-wide meeting!
