Dear Susan,
In your decade as council leader, Glasgow has plunged deeper into crisis. We have 100-year wait times for social housing, and people choosing between heating, eating and paying rent. You have turned parts of our city into playgrounds for student accommodation developers, banks, hoteliers and Hollywood film crews, and left other areas with parks rotting away, overflowing bins and non-existent bus links.
Living Rent, trade unions and community groups have had to fight hard for every investment in our city. You only started getting back to us when dozens of us disrupted your conference speech and embarrassed you in front of your big business pals.
So goodbye Susan and good riddance. We hope your successor will do better, and if they don't we are ready to take action together and hold them to account.
