Join Living Rent Govanhill's AGM on Thursday 9th June, 6.30-8.30pm at the Queen's Park Govanhill Church of Scotland to celebrate the branch's achivements and victories, plan future campaigns and elect your branch committee officers!

Over the past year, members have been campaigning to demand more investment into cleansing services to tackle Glasgow's waste crisis as well as the re-introduction of back court teams in Govanhill. Through organising alongside the GMB, they won £2 million investment for the city and have recently got all elected local councillors to pledge to bring back the back court teams! 

At the same time, through Member Defence work, the branch has resisted a number of evictions, stopped landlords' harrassment and secured repairs for our members. 

This year has seen impressive growth and victories, building from strength to strength!

Whether you're a private tenant, social tenant or homeowner, whether you've stayed in Govanhill for decades or you've just moved here, it's up to all of us to fight for everything our area needs. When we come together to tackle the issues we share, we're so much stronger for it.
