Monthly Members meeting for all folks based around the Highlands & Islands. Wednesday the 8th of June at 6.30pm on Zoom.


Membership across the Highlands & Islands has been growing since some people started getting active last summer. Over the last year members have did street stalls from Inverness to Orkney, met with various local politicians, submitted responses into consultations, organised a direct action with a member who had been badly treated by their landlord, got over 500 signatures on an open letter calling for more to be done on the control of Short-Term Lets and have just finished up the work of getting Pledges from council candidates across the Highland area, demanding that if communities want a Short-Term Let Control Area's in their area - then councillors should ask them and respect what they have to say!

This summer we are going to focus on building a strong branch. And if you've ever been keen to get involved, have issues in your own housing, or see things in your community that you would like changed, then this is the meeting for you!

We'll be talking about issues affecting people in their local area's, next steps for controls on Short-Term Lets, and looking towards launching a Branch later this year, and how we can build for that.
