All of Govan’s pedestrians deserve safe pavements but it is particularly serious for those who use wheelchairs, walking frames, crutches, pushchairs and/or have visual impairments. We need safe, well-maintained footpaths to allow everyone to move around our community freely and easily.
A particularly dangerous example in the area is a crater in the pavement outside the Portal Arts on Govan Road.
Living Rent Govan/Ibrox are launching a campaign to demand that George Gillespie, Executive Director of Glasgow City Council Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability, address the issue and fix the hole.
Please write a comment if you or a friend have experienced any issues or injuries due to the sinkhole.
