On Thursday 13th October at 6pm Living Rent members along with interested local residents will be meeting in the Park Bar (442 Paisley Rd W, Glasgow G51 1BE, downstairs section) to discuss the development of a Govan & Ibrox neighbourhood branch. We will discuss what issues residents face across the area and how through collective action we can build the strength to take on the very biggest of them and win.
These meetings will be taking place once a month as our members undertake a "neighbourhood organising drive" across the area. The drive will look to galvanise the Ibrox community around the issues that face them and mobilise local tenants and residents to achieve material improvements in theirs lives and lasting power for the community.
Through these meetings our members will discuss what issues are widely and strongly felt in the local area and how a lasting and effective branch can be built in the weeks and months ahead.
