Westburn Park has little or no adequate lighting at the skatepark, playpark and paths which make it hard and unsafe for many of us to enjoy the park throughout the year.
We deserve a local park we can enjoy, so we are calling on Ian Yuill and Miranda Radley Convenors of the Net Zero Environment and Transport Committee and executive officers of the City Regeneration and Environment team to fund full lighting, promoting greater use of the facilities and greater safety for all users of the park.
There has already been significant community demand around the need for lighting at the skating facility and surrounding paths in Westburn Park amid safety concerns, but the Council has put responsibility back to the community to apply for planning permission and raise the money themselves.
Together, we need to tell the Council to make Westburn Park Brighter, Busier, Safer!
Sign our petition to call on Aberdeen City Council to fund and provide;
-
Flood lights for the skate park
-
Adequate lighting of the playpark
-
Adequate lighting of the paths
Then, Join us on Saturday 17th October 5pm-7pm on Broad Street to gather more signatures.
