Come along to our next local member defence session!
Our member defence sessions are where members come together to collectively resolve housing issues, win repairs, stop rent increases, halt evictions and improve our housing conditions.
Meetings are open to anyone with housing issues or who wants to work with others to win real changes. If you want to work on your issue with other members, you need to join as a member, come along to find out what that means or see our join page.
At each meeting we cover: how we organise to win material improvements in our housing, along with collective problem-solving and action planning for an individual/household.
Accessibility: the space is wheelchair accessible, but doesn't have an accessible bathroom. Kids are welcome and are at their parent or guardian’s responsibility. If you have translation needs or other accessibility needs let us know.
Time, dates and regularity: this will be our first Member Defence session in Toryglen. If there is an appetite for these sessions, we will run them quarterly.
Location: Geoff Shaw Community Centre has several nearby bus stops, on Ardnahoe Avenue and Curtis Avenue. The nearest train stations are Kings Park, Croftfoot, or Rutherglen.
