Build our union's vision for 2026!
Come along to our open meeting on Thursday 14 August from 6.30-8.30pm to discuss what we want politicians to deliver ahead of the 2026 Holyrood elections!
In this meeting, we will discuss the changes we need to see in our communities, to feed into the union developping a manifesto ahead of the election in May next year.
In the meeting we will have groups discussing how we improve:
- The private rented sector, notably in terms of affordability and quality
- Social and council housing: notably in terms of availability and quality
- Our public transport
- Taxing the rich to fund our demands
- How we can have a say over planning
- Land ownership
- How to retrofit our homes
- and holiday lets and second home ownership
Come along to brainstorm, dream and build ambitious demands that could transform our homes and then make a plan to ensure that politicians commit to policies that work for us - not big businesses or landlords!
The meeting will be on zoom, but we will also be holding in person events in Glasgow on 30 August and later in September in Edinburgh.
