No Evictions in Oxgangs House

Edinburgh Council is buying back flats in Oxgangs House as part of the building renovation.  If a private tenant is living in the flat, the Council insists that they must be evicted in order for them to buy the flat.

While homeowners selling to the Council are given the option to remain in their home as council tenants, Edinburgh Council is giving private tenants no option and is instead forcing them out of their homes.

Edinburgh Council should not be making families homeless and uprooting our neighbours from their communities and homes where they have lived for years.

Families in Oxgangs House have already lost their homes - 3 more are facing eviction now

Living Rent and the residents of Oxgangs House ask the Housing, Homelessness and Fair Work Committee to halt eviction of our neighbours and allow private tenants to remain in their homes as council tenants

The Housing, Homelessness and Fair Work Committee must halt the eviction of private tenants in Oxgangs House and allow them to remain in their homes as council tenants
