Fountain Gardens could be the pride of our community, but there's an elephant in the room...it's been decades that The Mound has been left unmaintained in the park. What once had stone stairs, flowers, and served as a beautiful platform for bands to play, is now a site of weeds, hazardous litter, and rats. Our park should be a thriving place for our community to use and enjoy, but the council has let it fall into decline. A fresh start for Fountain Gardens starts with revitalising The Mound. Let's give this historic feature of the park justice, and get the council to Give the Mound a Makeover!
We demand that Renfrewshire Council revitalise and commit to regular maintenance of The Mound in Fountain Gardens by the end of June 2025
