Living Rent Pollokshields members first met in September 2020 and within a month, they started campaigning for their local library to reopen.
There’s an active local Member Defence team who has already ensured that our member Hannah got her deposit back - in less than 24 hours after the union reached out to her landlord! The Member Defence team is currently defending three of our members whose landlord is refusing to carry out major repairs and we’ll continue to fight until our members live in a decent and safe place.
Branch meetings: Due to lockdown restrictions, we currently meet on the second THursday of the month at 7-8:30pm, online via zoom.
