On Sunday 28th June, the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust is organising a bus fest in the West End. On that day, residents are able to enjoy free vintage bus services across the city. In the spirit of celebrating vintage buses, we have chosen that day to organise a mass rally as we demand better buses for Glasgow residents now.
Since our bus network is privatised and deregulated, it has created a number of problems for both residents and visitors in Glasgow: expensive fares, unreliable services, confusing system, route closures, lack of night bus. We have had enough and demand better!
Join our rally at 1pm outside the Riverside Museum to tell MSPs that we need better buses in Glasgow and that the best way to get there is through franchising to bring buses back under public control.
Come and ride our People’s First bus!
