We have been pushing Edinburgh City council to improve road safety in Lochend, by installing safe crossings and improving road conditions, to keep us and our families safe. Many of us have experienced near misses and accidents and we cannot wait any longer.
We have invited all local councillors and transport leaders to attend a public meeting to hear your experiences and make commitments to take real action.
We are asking for
- Comprehensive Survey of the area to identify high risk areas
- Safe Crossings to be installed on Sleigh Drive (Roundabout), near schools and on Lochend Road South
- Markings and road conditions to be improved
- Clear marking of the 20mph zones
Everyone is welcome to attend and young people are welcome to attend and take part in the discussions.
Under 16s should be accompanied by a parent, guardian or professional.
