After decades of underfunding and a lack of maintenance, Glasgow Life has closed the doors of Whitehill Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre.

• Local children and adults are being deprived of a place to swim. Families are having to spend time and money sending their kids to overcrowded surrounding pools, many families cannot afford to do that.
• In the past year, people in Dennistoun and nearby neighbourhoods have lost three places to exercise and socialise- Whitehill Pool, Alexandra Park Hub and Bluevale Community Hall.
  
• All the while, the Council is negating its responsibility to provide places for people in the east end to keep healthy and fit.
