Winning the bus campaign (Shawlands branch)

Glasgow has some of the worst buses in the UK: unreliable and unaffordable, run for shareholder profits not for people who need to move around our city for work and social life.

We're demanding money from Glasgow City Council's new tourist tax is invested in public buses which are accessible and affordable for Glasgow residents.

At the end of 2025, we kicked off our bus campaign with a series of actions, which have definitely caught the council's attention. Now, we need to plan our next steps in winning this campaign.

Shawlands/Langside members: join this meeting on Thursday 15 January, 6.30pm (venue TBC) to plan the next steps of the bus campaign (this is instead of Shawlands branch meeting in January).

We will be diving straight back in from January so make sure you can come along. RSVP to this event so we can let you know about the venue & have an idea of numbers.
