Join fellow Living Rent members to celebrate the branch’s achievements over the last year, plan future campaigns and elect your branch committee officers on Tuesday 7th June, 6.30-8.30pm at the Shawlands United Reform Church, 111 Moss Side Rd, Glasgow, G41 3TP

Since the launch of the Shawlands/Langside branch in June 2021, members have been campaigning and taken action to stop the regeneration of the Shawlands Arcade which represents one of the biggest changes to the area in recent years.

Members are clear: in the midst of a rent crisis, the idea to develop 600 one and two bed apartments in a bid to extract high rents to maximise profits for investors, is an insult to our community. Shawlands needs more family orientated and social housing, not more luxury apartments.  

Alongside numerous member defence work and continuous outreach, this year has seen impressive growth and victories, building from strength to strength!

So come, bring a friend and celebrate your branch’s achievements and set it up for the next year!
