Living Rent Glasgow members have written to Stephen Flynn, newly elected Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Tourism and transport to discuss the state of our public transport in Glasgow.
We were pleased to see that the SNP pledged to implement a nationwide £2 single bus fare across Scotland in their 2026 election manifesto. However, this is not a policy that will comprehensively address the problems we face in Glasgow with our buses and local transport.
We finally heard back from Stephen Flynn's office declining our request 'due to existing commitments'. What other commitments does he have? Why refusing to meet with us?
Join the action on Sunday 9th August, 12pm at Buchanan Station to send a clear message to Stephen Flynn: we cannot wait another 5 years to get better buses in Glasgow.
Find us by the clock statue opposite Sainsbury.
All welcome!
