Meet us at 9.30am on Tuesday the 27th of August outside Cafe Nero 192 High Street Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Council is rolling out a mix tenure improvement scheme that aims to fix and retrofit more than 400 homes in Lochend. We desperately need those retrofits to stop our homes from being cold, damp and mouldy. However, there are too many ways in which this plan for the moment is just not fair and as a result won’t work for us.

Whether it’d be council tenants who are struggling to know when and what is happening and where they’ll be during the works, homeowners who are facing bills they can’t afford or private tenants who are being evicted by their landlords who claim they can’t foot the bill, there is much to improve for the scheme to work.

Join us on the 27th of August to tell Edinburgh City Council: we need the retrofits, we want to the retrofits, but not under any circumstances. We need fair retrofits for our community.
