UNION VICTORY IN WESTER HAILES! Jen and her family have lived in overcrowded, inaccessible housing for the past decade, and have been promised adaptations and a move that has never come to fruition. Until Jen's union stepped in!
At our action today, members forced Edinburgh Council boss George Norval to commit to:
- Accessibility adaptations within the next 10 days
- Raising Jen's case with senior managers at Social Care Direct to make sure she is quickly assessed and given Gold Priority on EdIndex
- If SCD isn't quick enough, he will raise Jen's case with the HART team to explore other options to move house.
