Doing videos for the union

Seen how effective videos are to celebrate a victory or put forward a call to action, but never quite felt confident to create them?

Come to this training to learn how to create short and engaging videos, to story tell the union’s member defence victories, campaign progress or just put forward ideas and demands in an eye-catching way. This training will be great for current/ future communications officers of Living Rent and anyone keen to create video content for the union, to practice their skills, as well as to all members, interested in getting some experience in video making.

In this training, you will practise

  •   Creating a short screenplay to organise the sequences of your video
  •   Learn how to do effective framing and footage
  •   Edit the footage through accessible software
  •   Go through the guidelines for Living Rent video.

Putting forward Living Rent’s values, vision and stories is crucial to us effectively celebrating our victories and keeping each other informed and the work going on in the union. Video content is one of the most engaging ways in which we can do that. Come and learn how to practice some of these skills together.

Come to the meeting a few minutes early, so we can start sharp!

This training is part of Living Rent’s training program supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation, you can see the next training sessions on the website.
