AS Glasgow and the rest of Scotland gears up to host the COP26 talks this November, come to this session to understand more how crucial housing justice is to the fight against climate change. Whether that be around fuel poverty, threats of our homes flooding or the ongoing impacts on our health of poor housing standards, we know that our homes are inadequate fo a good life for ourselves and for the planet. Housing represents roughly 16% of carbon related emissions in Scotland, and improving our homes is crucial for Scotland to achieves emission reduction targets and for us to have genuinely affordable and quality housing. This workshop will present both the overall context and more specific demands, come to feel more confident with all the concepts, ideas and your union's demands regarding housing and climate change.
