POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Equality Act (2010) is consistently overlooked and ignored by both private and social landlords. In this session, we will got through what the act is, who it applies to and what key protections exist for tenants, such as protection from direct discrimination, indirect discrimination, harassment and victimisation. In addition, we will touch on what are public sector organisations’ duties when dealing with qualifying tenants. By the end of this session, you will be aware of the rights of those covered under the act, understand the importance of this act and be empowered to apply the act practically to support member defence strategies.
