During an action, following in a journalist request or just preparing a speech can feel overwhelming.
Come to this training to practice how to speak to journalists and to a crowd. This training aims to build each other’s confidence so more and more members can feel able to speak up and as such to ensure that our voices, experiences and needs are heard.
In this training, you will
- Practise how to structure a public communication for the press
- Practise being interviewed and making a small speech
Speaking up to the press and/or in front of crowds is a really effective way to celebrate your branch's victories, encourage and empower other members, as well as put pressure on our targets. So come practice how to effectively put forward your message and use interviews and public appearances effectively.
Come to the meeting a few minutes early, so we can start sharp!
